Privacy notice

This notice explains how Landlords-Wanted.co.uk (“Landlords Wanted”, “we”), of 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, uses the information you give us through this website. Under UK data protection law we are the controller of the information you submit through this website.

What we collect

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Details about your property: postcode, type, size, whether it is occupied and your timescale
• The service you're interested in and anything you write in the message box
• If you download our checklist: your name, email, how many properties you own and, if you choose, your postcode and phone number
• Technical information needed to protect the form from abuse, such as a one-way hash of your IP address

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

When you ask for a valuation or offer, we use your information to put you in touch with a letting and sales agency about your property. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.

When you download our compliance checklist, we use your email address to send it to you, because you asked us to. We only pass your details to the agency if you also tick the optional box asking them to contact you, and that is based on your consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

Who we share it with

We share your details with Alan Jacob Estates Ltd, a letting and sales agency, so they can contact you about letting, managing or buying your property. Alan Jacob Estates Ltd becomes a controller of your information once they receive it and will handle it under their own privacy notice.

We also use service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our website host and email provider. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with any other agency or marketing company.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for up to 12 months so we can deal with any questions about how your enquiry was handled, then delete them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email leads@landlords-wanted.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
